Tuesday 28 March 2006: 9.15 am – 4.30 pm at Magdalen College School, Oxford

An all-day event mounted by the Oxford International Biomedical Centre (OIBC) and the Royal Institution (RI) and opened by the Rt Hon Andrew Smith MP, at which Prof Robin Dunbar, Dr Simon Fisher, Baroness Susan Greenfield, the Rt Revd Richard Harries and Prof Charles Pasternak will tackle THE big question of all time: What makes us human?

In the morning the speakers will present their personal views under the chairmanship of Prof Paul Harvey (Head of Zoology at Oxford University). In the afternoon, following a buffet lunch, the audience will be able to quiz each speaker and put their own views forward in a wide-ranging debate chaired by Sir Walter Bodmer (Cancer Research UK).

Tickets cost £37 (concessions £25, students free) which includes registration, book of abstracts, buffet lunch, tea and coffee, and VAT; free parking. Those who would like to join the chairmen and speakers for the Symposium Reception and Dinner at the historic Magdalen College in the evening are invited to do so for an additional cost of £60 (including wines and VAT).
