United Learning
In 2013 OIBC and United Learning entered a partnership.
The partnership has been initiated to provide the opportunity for United Learning’s students and teachers to get the experience of learning from outstanding leaders in the field of science and, by enhancing students interested in science, encouraging more young people to consider further study and employment in science.
This directly supports the OIBC’s mission “to bring together leading biomedical experts with all schools and adults to promote better communication skills and awareness, especially among disadvantaged youngsters, through sharing these events among schools in the UK and overseas.”
Over the period September 2013 to April 2014 OIBC will run 6 Scientists in Schools symposia and 4 Café des Sciences in United Learning Schools.
